With this sample you can cut your yarn and re join after every row but I have devised a way here so that you will not have to do that, let\u2019s get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will need 2 different colors of worsted weight yarn, size H hook. Please note this is just a sample so really you can use any type of yarn and any size hook you want to. It is worked on a multiple of 4 + 2, add 1 for beginning turning chain. What does this mean ? You will need a beginning chain that you can divide 4 into evenly(say 16), once you get that number add 2 more chains (18) , now add 1 for a beginning turning chain (19).
1st Row: With color A Ch 19, sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in next ch. Dc in next 2 ch, sc in next 2 ch across (you will end this beginning row with sc in last 2 ch) now enlarge the loop on your hook, remove your hook, DO NOT TURN YOUR WORK.
2nd Row: Attach color B to the FIRST sc you made, ch 2 (this counts as your first dc), dc in next sc, sc in next 2 dc, dc in next 2 sc, repeat to end of row (you will end this row with 2 dc in last 2 sc) enlarge loop on your hook, remove your hook.
3rd Row: Insert your hook into color A loop, turn your work. Pull color A loop until it is even to top of your current row , slip stitch into first dc, ch 1, sc in same dc, sc in next dc. Dc in next 2 sc, sc in next 2 dc, repeat to end. Enlarge loop on hook, remove hook and DO NOT TURN WORK.
4th Row: Insert hook in color B loop, slip stitch into first sc, ch 2 (this counts as your first dc), dc in next sc, 2 sc in next 2 dc, repeat across to end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now repeat rows 3 and 4 for pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
