Yellow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 2\/0 (double zero).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GAUGE: 5 SC = 1 inch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SIDE . . . First Half: Starting at center, make a chain 25 inches long, having 5 ch to 1 inch. 1st rnd: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 124 ch. Being careful not to twist piece, join with sl st to first SC. 2nd rnd: Ch 1, sc in joining and in next 3 sts; sl st in next st, * sc in next 4 sts, sl st in next st. Repeat from * around. Join as before (25 patterns started). 3rd rnd: Ch 1, sc in joining and in next 2 sc, * sl st in next sc, picking up the back loop of next sl st and the back loop of the sc directly under the sl st, make an h dc (h dc over sl st made and a ridge formed); sc in next 3 sts. Repeat from * around, ending with an h dc over sl st. Join. 4th rnd; Ch 11 sc in joining and in next sc, repeat from * on 3rd rnd around, ending with sc in last h dc. Join. 5th rnd: Ch 1, sc in joining, repeat from * on 3rd rnd around, ending with sc in last 2 sts. Do not join. 6th rnd: Repeat from * on 3rd rnd around, ending with sc in last 3 sts. Do not join. 7th rnd: Ch 1, * thread over, inserting hook as on 3rd rnd, draw up a 1 14 -inch loop in next sl st; thread over, draw up a 3\/8 &#8211; inch loop in next ridge made on 6th rnd, thread over, draw up a 1\/2 &#8211; inch loop in next ridge made on 5th rnd, thread over, draw up a 5\/8 -inch loop in next ridge made on 4th rnd; thread over, draw up a \u20133 1\/4-inch loop in next ridge made on 3rd rnd,thread over and draw through all 11 loops on hook, ch 1 tightly (fan made); sc in next h dc and in next 3 sc. Repeat from * around. Join to top of first fan. 8th rnd: Ch 1, * skip fan, sc in next 4 sc. Repeat from * around. Join to first sc (100 sc). 9th and 10th rnds: Ch 1, sc in each sc around. Join as before. 11th rnd: Sl st in each st around. 12th rnd: Ch 2, picking up both loops of the sts on next-to last rnd throughout, h dc in each st around (the rnd of sl sts now forms a chain line on right side of work. Join to first h dc. Next 2 rnds: Repeat 11th and 12th rnds. Last 2 rnds: Ch 2, h dc in each h dc around. Break off and fasten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Second Half: Cut off any remaining chain on starting chain of First Half. Attach thread in last ch used on starting chain of First Half. 1st rnd: Working along opposite side of starting chain, repeat 2nd rnd of First Half. Next 3 rnds: Repeat 3rd , 4th and 5th rnds of First Half. Join last sc of last rnd to first sc. 5th rnd: Ch 1, sc in joining, * make a fan, drawing up the 3\/4 -inch loop in same ridge as the 3\/4 -inch loop of fan on First Half was made, sc in next h dc and in next 3 sc. Repeat from * around, ending with sc in last 2 sts. Join. 6th rnd: Ch 1, sc in joining, repeat from * on 8th rnd of First Half around. Next 2 rnds: Repeat 9th rnd of First Half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CROWN . . . 1st rnd: Sl st in each sc around. 2nd rnd: Picking up both loops of the sc&#8217;s an next-to-last rnd to form a chain line as before, sc in each sc around, decreasing 6 sc evenly spaced-to dec 1 sc, draw up a loop in each of 2 sc, thread over and draw through all 3 loops on hook. Next 29 rnds: Repeat first and 2nd rnds alternately 14 times, then first rnd once. 32nd rnd: Dec 5 sc. Break off and fasten. Repeat from * around 42 sc. Next rnd: Work even. 14th rnd: * (Ch 1, sc in next sc) twice; ch 1, make an inc in next sc. Repeat from * around -56 sc. 15th rnd: Sl st loosely in back loop of each ch and sc around-112 sl sts. 16th rnd: * Ch 1, skip next sl st, sc in back loop of next sl st. Repeat from * around-56 sc.
