3RD Row of Entrelac Square
This row begins with a triangle and ends with a square.
With 3rd color, attach yarn to FIRST stitch of first square of previous row.
Row 1: ch 5, p/u loop in 2nc ch from hook, p/u loop in next 3 chains, p/u loop in the same stitch as your beginning stitch ( the same stitch you just attached the 3rd color) 6 loops on hook. Remove Row.
Row 2: p/u loops in next 3 bars, skip last bar. p/u loop in next available stitch of previous rows square. (5 loops on hook) , Remove Row
Row 3: p/u loops in next 2 bars, skip last bar. p/u loop in next available stitch of previous rows square. (4 loops on hook) , Remove Row
Row 4: p/u loops in next 1 bar, skip last bar. p/u loop in next available stitch of previous rows square. (3 loops on hook) , Remove Row
Row 5: p/u loop in next available stitch of previous rows square (2 loops on hook) Remove Row. Slip stitch in next available stitch of previous rows square.
3rd color square:
Row 1: p/u loops in next 5 stitches, p/u loop in next available stitch of previous rows square (7 loops on hook) Remove Row.
Rows 2 to 5 : p/u loops in next 5 bars, p/u loop in side of next triangle (7 loops on hook). Remove Row. Repeat slip stitch bind off row.
Repeat 3rd color square across. You will end with a square. Below is what it should look like now.
4TH Row
This row starts with a square and ends with a triangle. This row is almost exactly like the 2 nd color row except you will be picking your loops up in the squares instead of the beginning rows triangles.
If you are only using 3 colors, this next row needs to be done with color #2. If you want to you can add a 4th color.
4th row square: With color #2, attach yarn in top side of triangle (see picture).
Row 1: p/u loops in next 5 stitches of previous rows triangle, p/u a loop on side of previous rows square. (7 loops on hook) Remove Row.
Rows 2 to 5 : p/u loops in next 5 bars, p/u loop in side of next triangle (7 loops on hook). Remove Row. Repeat slip stitch bind off row.
Repeat 4th row square across row.
Ending triangle:
Row 1: p/u loops in next 5 stitches (6 loops on hook) Remove Row
Row 2: p/u loops in next 4 stitches (5 loops on hook) Remove Row
Row 3: p/u loops in next 3 stitches (4 loops on hook) Remove Row
Row 4: p/u loops in next 2 stitches (3 loops on hook) Remove Row
Row 5: p/u loops in next 1 stitches (2 loops on hook) Remove Row
Repeat 3rd color entrelac row and 4th row squares for desired length. Do one more 3rd color entrelac row, this puts you in the right position to do the Ending Entrelac Row.
