For this project you will need: Good pair of sharp scissors 12 inch or longer ruler Size Q crochet hook Contrasting piece of thread to mark beginning of each row Approx 7 yards of 45 wide cotton fabric prepared or 1 3/4 pounds of 4 inch wide mill end fabric **place marker at the beginning of each row to keep your place** Do not join rounds Making sure to leave a 5 inch tail, make slip knot, ch 2 Row 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Pull tail to tighten up Row 2: 2 sc in each sc (12 sc) Row 3: *2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc* repeat from * to * (18 sc) Row 4: *sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc * repeat from * to * (24 sc) Row 5: Working in BACK LOOPS ONLY, sc in each sc Rows 6 & 7: Working thru both loops, sc in each sc. Do not finish off. Handle: Sl st into BACK LOOPS ONLY of the next 11 sc, ch 16, skip next 12 sc, sl st in next sc, turn. Sl st in back loop of next sc (this is to the right ), working on the ch 16, sl st in each ch, sl st in remaining 10 sc. End off. Use a smaller size crochet hook to hide the ends.
